An unforgettable adventure

The crossing of the Andes on horseback is an unforgettable and incomparable adventure.

Gaucho Argentino offers a unique program: small groups that experience an authentic cultural exchange with the families living in this isolated place and what they call home.

We ride through the centenary steps of the gauchos, we cross rivers, we arrive at the border with Chile, we go along the mountain ridges overlooking beautiful valleys, we arrive at a hot spring - this adventure is offered from December to February, in the Andes west of Malargüe.

Excellent service in the mountains
After a hot breakfast, the day will consist of approximately 5 or 6 hours of horseback riding with a half-way break for lunch, followed by a hearty and delicious dinner with the best Argentine wines.

We ride through a spectacular mountain landscape on well-trained horses, you will feel the magic of this vastness and you will come to understand why they have so much mythical power in the history of the region. Our 5 or 7 itineraries offer real experiences of a remote way of life that has not changed over the years. We do not pass the 4200 meters high in our ride.

How to get THERE

Our adventure begins in Las Loicas, a small town nestled in the Andes, an hour west of Malargüe. We will meet in Malargüe if you decide to go by car or take the bus. Although it is possible to drive to Malargüe from Buenos Aires in approximately 12 hours, it is recommended that you fly to Mendoza or San Rafael. Then, for the rest of the trip (2.5 hours from San Rafael, 4.5 hours from Mendoza), you can rent a car or travel in the bus. We have a travel agent who can help you with the arrangements.
